Get to Know Me.

Gary moved to Thibodaux in 1977 after receiving his BA degree in Business Administration from Northwestern State University. His first job was with Deep South Co-op, then in April of 1978 started with the Daily Comet where he worked for 23 years as Controller and Publisher. He currently runs the Charter Media Cable Advertising Sales Office in Thibodaux. He is married to Leslie and has two sons Tony married to Michele with grandson Anthony and Michael married to Lauren with granddaughter Ava Jewel, both attended Nicholls State University. Past and present civic and professional service includes Louisiana Press Assoc. Board, Thibodaux Chamber Board and Chairman, New Orleans Camp Fire Board, St Genevieve School Board, Kiwanis Club President and Treasurer, Lafourche Parish Juvenile Justice Commissioner, Thibodaux Civil Service Commissioner and Chairman and United Way Fund Distribution Committee and Board. Awards include Kiwanis Outstanding New Member, Kiwanian of the Year, Camp Fire New Orleans Chapter Outstanding Man of the Year and Thibodaux Chamber Outstanding Board Service Award.

He enjoys golf, regardless of how poorly he plays, loves to travel and see other parts of the country and world, and enjoys fishing. He says there is nothing better than good food, a good class of wine and a great cigar.
